===== Conference Information =======
Apply to Attend 2010 Western Regional Queer Conference!!
From STRANGE, Vanessa Wilson. Call 428-5426 for more info!
Hello everyone!
It is almost time for the 2010 Western Regional Queer Conference!! February 19-21, 2010 at Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo. We are trying to get this trip together so we can go! However we cannot confirm going until we have another adult volunteer, but it is looking hopeful.
This is an exciting trip we do yearly. We will only have space for 9-10 people, and it is only for responsible students who really want to learn and have fun and bring back to the community. To apply, answer these questions and get them to me:
- Why would you like to attend this conference?
- Will you be able to stay in college level workshops even if you don’t understand everything that is going on?
- Will you act responsibly? How?
- Do you feel you can communicate clearly even when in difficult situations?
- What do you hope to bring back to the queer youth community in Santa Cruz County?
After submitting the questions and their review, to further reserve your spot you will need to submit:
- Between $25-$50* entrance fee and support to cover trip expenses (depends if we can get discounted rates).
- Note: you will also need trip $ for food and other miscellaneous things; transport and lodging and some meals are paid for by STRANGE and the conference hosts).
- Youth Services parent/guardian release form signed if under 18.
- Photograph release or refusal.
- * if you have financial trouble speak with me about it, we may have limited scholarship funds.
